FOOD TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN

Required as soon as possible.

Due to an internal appointment, we have an exciting opportunity to join our fabulous food technology department.  We require a Food Technology Technician to support the work of the food technology teachers. 

The successful candidate will assist teachers and students in practical sessions, working alongside students, supporting their development of skills.  Other responsibilities will include ordering and preparing ingredients and equipment as well as keeping equipment clean and ready for use.  A knowledge or awareness of health and safety in a kitchen environment is essential.  Ideally applicants should have relevant experience in a food technician role or alternatively food preparation experience. However, training would be considered for the right candidate.  Full details of the role are covered within the job description.

Start: As soon as possible

Hours and Basis: 37 hours per week, term-time only

Salary: Equivalent to NJC Scale 1 Points 1-3 currently £17,842-£18562 per annum pro rata.  Actual salary £15,302.94-£15,920.48 per annum
