Claremont School has been in existence for close to 100 years. For most that time it was solely a Preparatory School but in 2011 the Senior School was founded on its current site in Bodiam. While rooted in the local community, and with an essentially ‘day school’ character, the development of the Senior School has also seen the addition of boarding in 2016 and an increasingly international dimension being at the heart of our identity.

This was further confirmed when the International School’s Partnership (ISP) took over the School in 2018. The school is now firmly established as a ‘local school with a global outlook’.

We understand the value of community and meaningful relationships. At the heart of Claremont is an ethos of care and consideration—a place where each student’s individual experiences are valued and celebrated. We are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where independence, creativity, and academic excellence thrive.

Our students are at the core of their education—an authentic approach that accommodates diverse backgrounds, abilities, and beliefs. Our vibrant culture of inclusivity ensures that everyone can truly be themselves and become their best selves. The spirit of our school shines brightest in our student-driven initiatives, from fundraising to community outreach, embodying the proactive nature of our learners.
