Foundation Stage Teacher

The Governors are looking to appoint an experienced Foundation Stage Teacher, who demonstrates consistently good or outstanding practice to join our large team of dedicated, friendly and fun-loving staff.

The successful applicant will be the Teacher in our Nursery (currently 18 pupils in morning and afternoon sessions including 5 pupils who stay all day). This post is to commence January 2017.

You should have at least one years’ recent experience teaching in the foundation stage (preferably Nursery); have a good understanding of the Early Years curriculum, profile and assessment and have the ability to ensure pupils make rapid and sustained progress as many pupils enter Nursery below expectations. You should also have very high expectations in relation to children's attainment and achievement, have excellent skills in communication and be experienced in supporting children with a variety of Special Educational and behavioural needs as well as the ability to support pupils whose first language is not English.

Anthony Bek Community Primary School continues to be a Good school as recently graded by Ofsted, but is well on its way to being graded as Outstanding and the successful candidate will need to continue to develop the excellent practice in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
