Job overview

Applications are welcome for the Founding Head of Primary at Durham School for Girls Doha, opening its doors in August 2019.

Construction is underway for a spacious, state-of-the-art campus fit for a leading international school. Located in the heart of the city, Durham School for Girls Doha will be the first Durham International School. As Head of Primary, you will work closely with the founding Principal, building a strong team to help fulfil the ambitious vision for the school.

The school will provide a broad and enriching education to develop the unique talents of every pupil within a supportive community. The school will foster an appreciation of the national culture and Islamic society, whilst at the same time preparing young women to be leaders in a globalised world. This aspiration will embrace an international outlook, and so provide the very best education for both Qatari and expatriate pupils alike.

You will be an experienced leader and have a strong track record of delivering excellent educational outcomes within an international school context. You will know how to deliver the best of a British education that combines an understanding of Durham School’s ethos and values and an appreciation of Qatari culture. You will lead an all-female staff and your passion and operational expertise will ensure that the primary phase is established successfully from the outset and every pupil achieves their best.
