Founded in 1875, Haberdashers' Girls' School is a leading independent day school for girls aged 4-18 and our academic results place us amongst the highest ranked schools in the UK. We provide a challenging, positive, stimulating and secure community in which our students enjoy working hard to fulfil their potential.

Enjoying a rural outlook in stunning 100-acre grounds but within easy reach of London, the students have the best of both worlds; regular trips into central London for art, drama and museum visits as well as access to nature and the environment, including our very own Forest School for younger pupils.

We are a happy, hardworking, well-focussed community drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. We celebrate our traditions as being part of the larger Habs’ family but we are also very proud of our ability to nurture our pupils and prepare them to be active citizens of a global 21st century, meeting the opportunities and challenges it will throw in their way.

We believe in the development of the whole person, whether it is excelling in music, sport and drama or simply enjoying participating in them. Charity fund-raising, working with the wider and global community and looking beyond our beautiful campus location are important aspects of the education provided here.

One of our unique features is the fact that we are based on the same campus as Habs Boys. This provides us with the best of both worlds; a single-sex education in a co-educational environment.

Our pupils leave to take up places at top universities with many happy memories of their time here, returning later in their careers to support another generation of Habs’ girls as they take their next steps into the wider world.
