We are looking for an exceptional Receptionist with a bright and sunny personality for our busy school office in North London.

The Orion is a large four form entry primary school with around 1,000 pupils and we have a wonderful staff team.  Together, pupils and staff make this school a fantastic place to work.

We are now well established in our state of the art new school and are looking for a very special person to be the first point of friendly and welcoming contact for all our visitors.  The successful candidate will be smart, presentable and able to build a strong rapport with parents, contractors, visitors and guests from all walks of life on school business.  You will have previous experience as a receptionist and a charming, helpful, hands-on approach with a can-do attitude.
You will also be required to carry out administrative and clerical tasks as part of a busy school office team, and so we especially want to hear from you if you are organised, efficient, have excellent administrative and IT skills and a good eye for detail.  If you are used to the school environment that would be welcome too.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

•Front of house reception and hospitality, answering calls and forwarding messages
•General administrative and clerical support for the Principal and school
•Some cover at our sister school Goldbeaters during the school holidays

Ideally, the candidate would have:

•A warm, friendly, professional and welcoming manner
•Sound organisation and administration skills
•Familiarity with a school environment
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and school database systems (we use Integris)
•An ability to work pro-actively both independently, and as part of a team
•A sense of humour!

We can offer:

•A positive school environment with children who are great to be with
•A well-organised and well-led staff team
•A very special place to work as part of the Gold Star Federation with our sister school Goldbeaters Primary School

If you would like to:

•Feel a real buzz at work
•Share our unique vision
•Work with staff who really do have a team spirit second to none

Then, we would like to hear from you!

Book your place on our informal open morning session on
Thursday 10 October 2019 at 10.30 am to find out more about the Federation and meet the school office team or phone for an appointment to visit us at any time.
