Job overview

The Prague British School (PBS) is a very successful English National Curriculum, IPC and World IB School. It is an accredited member of COBIS, member of HMC and also received a grade of ‘excellent’ in every category its latest ISI inspection report of October 2015. The school, which spans across two sites, has over 950 pupils from both the local and international community, making it the biggest international school in The Czech Republic.
This vacancy arises at our Vlastina Site which has a FSU of 30-40 children, 2 teachers (includes FS coordinator) and 4 Teaching Assistants.

The type of person we are looking for:

  • Is a UK qualified teacher who has at least 3 years´ experience teaching in the UK or in an international Foundation Stage / Early Years school setting.
  • Previous experience in leading a Foundation Stage Unit would be an advantage.
  • Promotes a well-organized and stimulating learning environment that links well with the Early Years philosophy at PBS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and is approachable to parents, student and staff.
  • Ability to lead and work with a small team of committed and enthusiastic FSU staff.
  • Possesses excellent communication and IT skills as well as good IWB knowledge.
  • Previous experience using CEM PIPs+ assessments will be an advantage.
  • A person who can stimulate others to want to do their best.

About Prague British International School, Kamýk

Prague British International School is a new school formed by the merger of the English International School Prague and the Prague British School. EISP and PBS have a long history in the city, founded in 1992 and 1995 respectively, both schools provide education for Prague's local and international community, educating children aged 2-18 years using the English National Curriculum, IB Diploma Programme and IB Careers Programme.

Located on three campuses, Vlastina (Prague 6) for EYFS to Year 9, Kamyk (Prague 4) for EYFS to Year 9 and Libus (Prague 4) for Year 10 to Year 13. Each location is a purpose-built site on the outskirts of the city centre. Each site has modern classrooms, great IT facilities, sports hall and expansive sports fields.
