Year 7 & 8 MATHEMATICS TEACHER (Part or Full Time) 

September 2018 

Required for either September 2018, a well-qualified and inspirational teacher of Mathematics to teach ISEB Common Entrance and Scholarship Mathematics in this highly regarded Derbyshire Preparatory School. This could become a full time role for individuals who can offer other academic subject areas, as well as deliver boys and/or girls sports coaching. 

The Old Vicarage is a family run co-ed preparatory school, which enjoys an excellent reputation for the warm family atmosphere, the quality of its academic teaching, the pastoral care of the children and for offering a broad curriculum with excellent co-curricular opportunities. The school enjoys a track record of being graded as Excellent/Outstanding at Inspection in all areas and would welcome applications from teachers who wish to continue to strive for this level of excellence in pupil outcomes.  

The post would suit an exceptional teacher of any age or level of experience, as long as they can demonstrate (and are willing to maintain) the highest teaching standards.

The Old Vicarage School is a mixed, non-denominational, independent nursery and preparatory school situated in Derby, Derbyshire. The school has approximately 130 pupils, ranging from 3 to 11 years old. 

The school was founded in 1933 in a Victorian former vicarage. In 2007, the current proprietors, Matthew & Jenny Adshead, bought the school and run it as a family business.

They are able to make logical deductions and think for themselves, as they use information and communication technology (ICT) such as tablets and touch screens with confidence. Pupils are consistently very successful in gaining places at their first choice of senior school, with significant numbers being awarded scholarships”.
