We have an opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and well qualified teacher of Science, on a fixed-term contract, to start on 3 January 2017. You will be joining a high performing department with a drive for further improvement.
Our highly committed, supportive and creative department requires a full time Science teacher to teach across the full age and ability range at Key Stage 3 and 4. We welcome applications from across a range of career stages.
Teaching and learning is supported by detailed schemes of work, excellent resources and subject-specific CPD. Each classroom within the department has an interactive whiteboard. Colleagues in the department meet regularly to share teaching and learning ideas.

About Biddick Academy
Biddick Academy is a co-educational secondary school based in Washington, near Sunderland, for students aged 11-16.
In 1997, Biddick was one of the first 11 schools in England to become a specialist sports college. The academy’s facilities include a sports hall, a dance studio, a fitness suite, a gymnasium, a full-size 3G pitch, floodlit tennis courts, a theatre and ICT suites.
