ABC Teachers are working closely with a large and thriving primary school in Frankley area of Birmingham, to recruit a full-time teaching assistant to join their team from January 2019. 

The position will be working across upper and lower KS2 groups working within small groups to provide additional support, and you will also be required to occasionally work on a 1-1 basis with children who require targeted support and focused learning. 

The successful candidate must:

- Be NVQ Level 3 qualified

- Have excellent communication and team player skills

- Be consistent in maintaining a positive and safe environment 

- Have a good understanding of the National curriculum

- Be able to build good rapport with pupils and colleagues

- Be punctual and reliable

The position will be working from Monday – Friday on a long-term contract which will continue until the end of the academic year. Please note that only candidates who are available full time will be considered for this role. It would also be beneficial to have your own transport due to the school’s location.

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 3 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
