Full time or part time music teacher

We are looking for a full-time or part-time music teacher to work in our two-form entry primary school. Further opportunities may develop from this role. Ideally the role would be four days a week, but if the successful candidate wanted full-time, further opportunities are available in the academy or in our Trust.

Children at Rushy Meadow have benefitted from regular music lessons from a specialist music teacher, who will be retiring at the end of this academic year. We would like to maintain the enthusiasm for music in the school by appointing a dynamic and motivated teacher who wishes to specialise in music. Both the Head of School and the CEO of the Trust have fulfilled this role in schools in the past, and so the level of support and the commitment to music in the school will be high.

Children are taught music in a dedicated ‘studio’, and we expect the successful candidate to lead singing across the school, and to accompany and lead singing in assemblies, put on productions, etc. to give children as many opportunities as possible.
