Ofsted 2021

Would you like to move your career forward in a friendly environment with eager students and support from an experienced leadership team, in one of the best mixed comprehensive schools for 11-16 in our Local Authority. We are oversubscribed, serve Harold Wood well and we are only twenty minutes from the heart of London.

Our school mantra is "Committed to Success for All." That includes our staff and we want the very best for our students. OFSTED said we “have created an inclusive community where pupils and staff relate well to each other. The school is focused on working with families to raise aspirations for pupils.”

An extremely well organised Data and Systems Manager is required as soon as possible to join our hard working and dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward thinking school that has been recognised by the Department for Education and Google for its innovative use of technology to support teaching and learning.

We understand the important role that computing and digital technologies play in the future of our school and students, which is why it is embedded into our whole school priorities and vision. We also have an Edtech Team consisting of a Director of Technology and a range of staff from our teaching, associate, middle leadership and senior leadership teams who are enthusiastic practitioners of enhancing teaching and learning with the effective use of technology, and we are excited about the next steps of this project.

Duties will include the maintaining of all our system databases, reporting on their uses and providing analysis for various staff members and other stakeholders. You will collate data that will review the progress of our students to support their further development and provide support for our exams officer. You will work closely with our Director of Technology to review our systems and have a crucial input into how we use them moving forward. Having previous experience of using SIMS would be desirable and there is potential for this role to grow further for the right candidate in the future as our school and trust continue to expand.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. We require the successful candidate to undertake an enhanced criminal records check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

We welcome enquiries from everyone and value diversity in our workforce. Applications are welcome from all sections of the community regardless of gender, gender identity, ethnic origin, disability, age or sexual orientation.

References from 2 previous employers will be sought prior to interview.

To apply, please complete an application form here and return to jobapplications@sfaet.co.uk or via the JGP online application form by the deadline of Monday, 4th July 2022 at 12pm. Interviews will take place on Wednesday, 6th July 2022.
