We are looking for a Permanent  Nursery Coordinator TLR2 to join the team in our vibrant school at an exciting time of change and development. Our successful candidate will :

 • Be an outstanding early years teacher and a confident communicator at all levels 

• Have an excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum and Development Matters  

• Be committed to indoor/outdoor continuous provision and assessment procedures which support the well being and effective characteristics of learning 

• Lead the early years to deliver an outstanding service for the local community

 • Have very high expectations of themselves, others and children

 • Commit to the highest expectations of  achievement and behaviour and to continuous school improvement 

• Possess energy and enthusiasm and be committed to enabling every child to fulfil their potential • Be innovative, flexible in their approach and quick to take on new initiatives

  • Support partnerships with parents, governors and the community We can offer:

 • A smart approach  to strategies for teaching and learning eg electronic systems for assessment 

• Happy, enthusiastic, well behaved learners 

• A dedicated, skilled and talented leadership team

• Caring and supportive parents Essential Qualifications: QTS and relevant experience/specialism in Early Years Education

Common Road is an Infant School with a 52 Place Nursery. Our current NOR is 150 full time children plus 47 children in nursery.


General Information

Common Road Infant and Nursery School serves the community of South Kirkby, an area of mainly social housing, ex mining history, situated in the semi- rural South East of the Wakefield area. South Kirkby Academy and Minsthorpe Secondary schools are close by.

Teaching and Learning
