Box Hill School is a co-educational community of 425 girls and boys aged 11 to 18, whose educational ideals and practice are designed to get the best out of each student. The school follows the philosophy of Kurt Hahn, founder of Gordonstoun in Scotland: while placing academic work at the heart of a school, Hahn stressed the importance of an all-round education as a preparation for life.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified graduate to join the English Department at Box Hill from September 2021. The post would suit both those new to the profession and more experienced colleagues. The ideal candidate will have a clear vision of how to maximize achievement in our students and ensure that learning is an enriching and challenging experience for all. We aim to appoint colleagues who will involve themselves wholeheartedly within our community and who see teaching as a way of life, not just a job.
The position offered is full time with the ability to contribute to the wider life of the school with extra curricula activities and duties.
