This is an exciting time to join Workington Academy as we are part of a forward thinking and innovative Multi Academy Trust who are committed to cooperative and collaborative approaches.
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and passionate teacher to join our ICT Department. The successful candidate will deliver lessons to Year 10 and Year 11 GCSE Computer Science classes (we follow the OCR Computer Science (9-1) specification) and Key Stage 3 ICT lessons. There may be an opportunity for some Sixth Form teaching in the future.
The department thrives on teamwork and offers BTEC Creative Media, CiDA and GCSE Computer Science at KS4 with Cambridge Technical Level 3 courses in IT and in Digital Media at KS5. In KS3 students are taught a wide variety of topics which focus on digital literacy, ICT and computing. Lessons are taught in purpose-built ICT suites.
We invest in our staff with excellent CPD and by ensuring that they have every opportunity to grow and develop.
