The Rowans School is a popular and successful co-educational pre-prep for children between the ages of 3 and 7, situated in Wimbledon.
The Rowans, part of The Shrewsbury House School Trust, is seeking to appoint a Gap Assistant for the 2022-23 academic year to start in September 2022. We offer the opportunity to work with and learn from our experienced team of staff and be part of the extended Shrewsbury House School Trust family. Our Gap Assistant is a valued member of our team and we aim to ensure that they gain unique work experience and have an exciting and life-enriching Gap year. This is a paid position and the salary will be approximately £11,500 paid over 11 months from September 2022 to July 2023 (based on approximately £14,000 per annum full-time equivalent). The role is 40 hours per week, term time only plus 3 days either side of term. Applications for the full academic year are preferred but one or two term positions will be considered.

About The Rowans School
Founded in 1936 The Rowans is an Independent Co-educational Preparatory School for children aged 3-7 yrs old.
The school is in a large private house in Drax Avenue, a quiet road off Copse Hill, Wimbledon. There is supervised parking available and a drop-off facility for older children. There is a very large well equipped playground in the gardens, together with a Techotile surfaced area within the grounds, comprising either: four short tennis courts; or six-a-side football; or netball / uni-hockey pitches. The Nursery has its own self-contained garden and play area.
The Rowans provides an enabling environment so that these vital early years of education will be fun, at times challenging, whilst bringing out the best in every individual child, thus preparing each child for future learning.
