The Post
Ashfold School is seeking to appoint a Gap Student on a one-year fixed-term contract starting on 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2024. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic boarding and wider school team that aims to deliver a broad and creative curriculum to our pupils. You will live in the boarding house and assist the Head of Boarding and teaching staff in supervising children and associated activities in and around the School.
The School
Ashfold is an established co-educational preparatory school for around 300 children aged 3–13+ set in a beautiful Jacobean mansion with its own thirty-acre estate in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside, just twenty minutes from Oxford, Thame and Aylesbury.
The school has expanded significantly over the last fifteen years and invested heavily in its infrastructure and support systems. We aim to give every child the firmest possible grounding in the core academic subjects within a small, caring family community where children both know each other and all of the staff.
