Job overview

We have an exciting position available for an experienced or budding GCSE English Language tutor to join our team. We are looking to add further support across our schools as we look to develop and enhance our bespoke offer for the young children of North East Lincolnshire and its surrounding areas.

The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering a bespoke GCSE English Language curriculum and English interventions on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. The role will also include contributions to key stage 4 English examination preparation and assessment.

We are interested in applicants with previous experience of planning and delivering GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English.

We specialise in students with SEN and our consistent approach of nurture and continual positive reinforcement helps achieve the very best outcomes for our young learners in KS3 & KS4.

We are interested in enthusiastic people who have a passion for teaching and supporting learners who may have struggled in mainstream education and have additional needs that our specialist provision can provide. Our learners may have additional needs in terms of SEMH, ADHD, ASD and we provide a personalised learning experience to help support their individual pathways in life and education.

You’ll need almost limitless supplies of energy, enthusiasm and optimism to support our learners who may have suffered trauma throughout their childhood to help them develop their love for learning again, enabling them to achieve their full potential in life.

You’ll need to be creative, brimming with ideas and capable of packaging and repacking ideas and concepts to capture the interest and imagination of students who, for whatever reason, have disengaged from education.

You’ll need self-discipline and have the courage to confront failure and come back for more, because not everything you try will work but that’s what makes this role so exciting.

At the Orchard we understand every child is unique and requires a personalised learning package, which we develop together as a team.

Competitive salary for all roles with benefits package available to be further discussed at interview. If you would like more information about these

exciting roles then please email Claire at chodgesbrooks@orchardhumber.co.uk
