Integrated Science/Biology teacher
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed professional to teach General Science in Lower Secondary and later move into Upper Secondary (IGCSE and IB). Applicants should be able to teach Biology at a higher level and must be qualified teachers with at least 2 years experience.
Requirements
Suitable candidates will:
- be able to teach across the age and ability range
- have a successful record of planning and delivering engaging learning activities
- teach the subject from an international perspective
- have an understanding of developing students whose first language is not English
- Experience of teaching IGCSE and IBDP would be an advantage.

accadis is situated in Bad Homburg, a leafy town in the Taunus mountains, just outside of Frankfurt am Main. We are a lively, friendly and expanding school which currently has approximately 370 students from 3-18, representing over 38 nationalities. Privately owned, it is part of family concern and linked to the nearby accadis Hochschule.
The Secondary School is a recognised by the local German School Authority, and follows a mixed international and Hessian curriculum until Grade 10. IGCSEs are offered at the end of Grade 10 and in Grades 11 and 12 the students follow the IB Diploma Programme.

Who we are
Welcome to accadis International School, a family-run, non-profit educational institution, at SÜDCAMPUS Bad Homburg, close to the international metropolis of Frankfurt am Main. Under the umbrella of accadis Bildung GmbH, we offer a holistic educational concept that is unique in Germany, from early steps in the Kindergarten all the way to PhD studies at our own accadis Hochschule (University of Applied Sciences). At the co-educational accadis International School, students learn bilingually, some subjects are taught in English and others in German. accadis ISB is an official IB World School since January 2016 and accredited by Cambridge International Education for the two-year IGCSE courses taught in Grades 9 and 10.
Our students
The school provides a supportive and challenging environment where students are encouraged to become responsible and independent learners. accadis ISB caters for a wide range of students and is both a “local” school for families who live nearby and an international school for students who come to us from all over the world. We currently welcome approximately 550 students from 5 – 18 years of age in our Elementary and Secondary Schools as well as 125 children in our Bilingual Preschool, representing over 50 nationalities.
Our school
accadis ISB was founded in 2004 and is situated on a modern campus featuring its own sports hall with outdoor basketball court. Having added spaces and facilities gradually over the years to cater for the ever-increasing demand, including an inviting library, two Art rooms and a Music room for the Elementary School, we opened a new building exclusively for our Secondary School students in early 2023. It features more than 20 new classrooms, additional specialist spaces for Science, Art, Music and Drama as well as two libraries and a cafeteria. The new auditorium for up to 250 people is greatly appreciated and utilised by all parts of our organisation. The school focuses strongly on technology. The state-of-the-art learning environment includes interactive whiteboards in each classroom, Google Chromebook laptops, school-wide high-speed Wi-Fi and a 3D printer.
