Job overview

The Edron Academy is seeking an outstanding Teacher of General Science at Key Stage 3 and  Physics at IGCSE and IB diploma Level (standard & higher level).

Reporting to: Head of Science

Main responsibilities

  • Teaching of general science (KS3) and IGCSE and IB Diploma Physics (standard and higher level).
  • Tracking student progress and implementation of intervention strategies where necessary.
  • Contribute the development of the science schemes of work as well as the taught and assessed curriculum.
  • Contribute to the departmental and wider school targets.


Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in the field of general science and physics to at least IGCSE level
  • Experience teaching  physics to IB diploma,  A Level or A.P Level   
  • Experience teaching IB diploma physics (standard and higher level)

In addition to a competitive salary we offer:

  • Ticket Card (Supermarket): 15% of monthly salary
  • Saving Fund: 13% of monthly salary
  • Retirement Fund: 4% of monthly salary
  • Christmas bonus: 15 days of monthly salary
  • Luggage Expenses: 46 kilos reimbursed
  • Rent Allowance: $11,750 ($MX) per month
  • Settling-in allowance: one month’s salary

Founded in 1963, the Edron Academy is the leading British International School in Mexico City.
