We wish to appoint a suitably qualified General Teaching Assistant to work within our Chapter House Preparatory School. The vacancy is part time and term time only. The hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 1:00pm.
The Teaching Assistant will work under the guidance of the Head of Chapter House and within an agreed system of supervision, to work with individuals/groups in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring support in particular areas or short term removal from lessons and will involve assisting teachers in the planning cycle and the management / preparation of resources. You will actively support teaching staff in differentiating the curriculum and in developing appropriate behaviour management strategies.
