Across Trinity Multi Academy Trust there is a relentless focus on improvement.  With that vision in mind, we have worked in partnership with local providers, and opened our brand   new Sixth Form Academy in September 2020.  Initially accommodating up to 600 students, it will grow to a capacity of 1000 learners to meet increased demand.  The new provision is in the multi-million-pound refurbishment of the Northgate site in central Halifax.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a transformational project, designed to allow more young people to benefit from an outstanding sixth form provision in a state-of-the-art new building.  Aspirations and ambitions are high and the potential huge.

We are now looking for a dynamic, passionate and inspirational Geography and Geology Teacher to join our team.

What can we offer you?

  • Full support from a dedicated team of senior leaders and a large pastoral team
  • Outstanding student behavior with a first-class behavior for learning system
  • Excellent teaching resources and word class facilities
  • A chance to change the lives of young people from deprived socio-economic backgrounds
  • An excellent CPD package, including a further comprehensive programme of professional development provided through the Trinity Institute of Education and West Yorkshire Maths Hub
  • A range of staff benefits, including a Cycle to Work scheme and reduced cost health cover

You must be fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to children and young people, secure in the knowledge that you will be joining an ambitious forward-thinking Academy Trust that sets the standards for our family of schools and academies.

Start Date: 01 September 2022

At Trinity Sixth Form Academy we provide an outstanding educational experience for young people.

Our mission is to support our students in becoming ‘Life Ready Learners’.

The academy is unashamedly academic and offers a broad curriculum of A-levels and L3 BTEC qualifications, designed to support the young people from our region and beyond in securing the best possible outcomes, which open up a lifetime of future opportunities with the leading universities and employers in the world.

We are immensely proud of our 6th Form culture and see each and every one of our students as an ambassador for Trinity. Our results speak for themselves; we lead the Calderdale region for progress, with a 99.7% pass rate in 2019 and every year our students secure the best possible destinations for both degree apprenticeships and university places, including Oxbridge. However, we are about so much more than academic success. We pride ourselves on our enrichment offer and our approaches to mental health, the pastoral support we provide and the relationships that we secure as a 6th Form community.

Trinity Sixth Form Academy (TSFA) provides students with the best possible education.  We want to attract and retain the best possible staff to work in a committed, passionate, and dedicated team.

As an academy we have high expectations. We expect staff to challenge students and themselves. We set high standards and aim to display these in all that we do.

Working for TSFA is rewarding. We offer a fantastic, vibrant environment with a record of successful outcomes.  Our CPD programmes are excellent and offer a range of opportunities for progression.
