The Governors of Holy Trinity School wish to appoint a dynamic, forward looking candidate to teach Geography. This post presents a good opportunity for either a newly qualified or more experienced practitioner to join this department.   

The Geography department at Holy Trinity School is a forward-moving department which is keen to expand and develop. It is a small but enthusiastic department and our subject is becoming increasingly popular. The department has 3 GCSE groups in Year 11 and 3 in Year 10. It also has  A level groups in Year 12 and Year 13.

• a starting salary in line with the school’s policies on Pay and Appraisal; a mentoring programme for NQTs; a comprehensive induction, and a good programme of CPL. Any full terms would count towards completion of an NQT year.

Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to the teaching of Geography. Those expecting to be paid at the upper end of the given pay range will need to evidence how that is merited in their application.  We require practitioners who have the enthusiasm, skill and ability to make a positive contribution to this motivated and successful team. The successful candidates will be committed to teaching across the 11-18 range. Experience of, or the potential to teach, Geography at A level and Humanities at Key Stage 3 is essential. Applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to excellent teaching and learning; to securing good or better outcomes for students; to developing student potential and skills from KS3 onwards, and to promoting the study of the subject at A Level.

Welcome to the Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School. We are a Voluntary Aided Church school with a rich history and a reputation for excellence.  

The school was opened in 1969 by the Queen and is believed to be the first purpose built Church of England comprehensive school in the country. Today it is an over-subscribed and vibrant multi-faith, multi-cultural school serving three deaneries of Cuckfield, East Grinstead and Horsham, and the community of Crawley, providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
