Fulham Cross Girls’ School is an outstanding school in the top two per cent nationally for the progress that our students make. The school has been shortlisted for the TES Secondary School of the Year for three consecutive years in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
For this full-time, 1-year maternity cover position, available from January 2020, we are looking for a creative, passionate and knowledgeable teacher of Geography to join our supportive and energetic Humanities Faculty.

- 69.6% of students achieved grade 9-4

The Humanities Department has a strong reputation for the quality of its teaching, evidenced through outstanding GCSE results. Our students demonstrate a passion for Geography which is a core subject in the school. All students study the subject from Year 7 to Year 11 and sit the GCSE for the Edexcel course Specification B.

We believe that we have a duty to develop young women with a desire to make the world a better place and to fight for equality wherever they see inequality which is why we tie everything to our EMPOWER charter. Our strapline is ‘Empowering Tomorrow’s Women’ and we take this very seriously indeed. For example, our Tuesday morning EMPOWER breakfasts when female captains of industry come to discuss their career path over a croissant with the students. Or the much coveted EMPOWER badge that can only be awarded to students for truly exceptional acts for those who do the right thing when no one is looking. Or our EMPOWER days which involve all of our students getting out and about or hosting visitors in school.
