Job overview
A well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Geography is required for September 2017 to teach Geography at KS3, KS4 and KS5. Chiswick School is an over-subscribed academy of over 1200 students situated in a pleasant suburb of West London with good rail links.
At Chiswick, KS3 Geography is taught in mixed ability groups through a variety of exciting and topical issues where the ability to differentiate is essential. At GCSE, we follow the Edexcel B Geography 2016 course and have enjoyed a consistent improvement of results through the years. At A level, we also follow the Edexcel Geography 2016 course and have experienced consistently improving ALPS scores.
This vacancy will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to join a motivated team which is passionate about promoting student progress within an enjoyable and successful learning environment. The department is well resourced, committed to fieldwork and would welcome applications from both experienced teachers and NQTs.
This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
