Smart Teachers is recruiting for a Geography Teacher for an innovative secondary school in the London borough of Hackney. The school is co-educational and caters for children aged 11-18. The Geography Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Geography up to A Level.  The full time, permanent role will commence in September 2019 and would be ideal for an NQT to start their career.  The successful Geography Teacher will be joining a dynamic Humanities team. The appointed teacher will benefit from working within a collaborative team environment in addition to receiving regular CDP sessions.

In order to be considered for this role, the Geography Teacher will need to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree

• A good first degree in Geography 

• Proven experience teaching the UK curriculum within the past two years

• Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa / right to work)

• NQTs and/or OS-trained teachers are welcome to apply

• Recent classroom-based references and valid DBS / police checks
