St Hugh’s welcomes applications from enthusiastic and innovative Geography teachers to join our dynamic and collaborative team.  Applicants should be able to use the best possible practices in all areas of teaching to inspire pupils of all standards. 

The school is an academically non-selective Nursery, Pre-Prep and Prep School for 360 boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 13. We are situated on a beautiful green campus of 40 acres in the South Oxfordshire countryside, not far from Central Oxford.

St Hugh’s Oxfordshire is a highly regarded co-educational, day and boarding independent preparatory school with 350 boys and girls from the ages of 3 to 13.

Founded in 1906 in Chislehurst, Kent, St Hugh’s School was named after Hugh of Avalon, Bishop of Lincoln from 1156 to 1200. In 1946, the school relocated to Carswell Manor, a Jacobean country house surrounded by 40 acres in Oxfordshire. The school became a charitable trust in 1967 and is administered by a board of governors who are also trustees.
