Values and vision

Devizes School’s aims are summarised by its motto: “Raising Aspirations, Building Futures.” The school encourages all its students to aim high in their lives and to build their own futures by working hard and being the best they can be.

Devizes School asks staff and students to demonstrate 100% commitment to the process of learning. It wants every member of the school community to feel they have an equal stake in the success of the learning process. Students' opinions and ideas are sought and appreciated.

The secondary school believes successful lessons are led as much by students as by teachers. Students are therefore viewed as having a responsibility to themselves and to their peers to help make the learning process a productive one.
