The Swiss International School of Qatar is seeking an outstanding and forward-thinking German Teacher for September 2020. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of the excellent team of educators that is establishing the IB MYP and DP at SISQ. SISQ is a full IB school and is fast becoming one of the leading educational institutions in the region.
The position involves:
- Teaching German in our Mother Tongue programme (typically very small classes of fluent speakers), including German Literature to Diploma level
- Teaching German as a foreign language (typically in larger classes, with a possible range of levels that require differentiation)
A German subject leader position may be available to the right candidate.
The successful candidate will have the following essential qualities:
- Experience teaching German in a secondary school setting
- Ability and willingness to teach both fluent and beginner students
- Be a fluent German speaker or have a native level of German proficiency
- Strong spoken and written English
- Extensive curriculum-writing skills and experience
- A collaborative style and a good sense of humour
- A commitment to continuous improvement
- A commitment to student learning and safeguarding
The following qualities would be an advantage:
- IB ( MYP and/or DP) experience
- Experience in an international setting
