We are looking to appoint an inspirational teacher of German to play a key role in our Modern Languages department where results are excellent in a school offering a warm and welcoming environment and a strong professional development programme.
The ideal candidate will show evidence of flair and creativity in developing the delivery of the subject.
You will be joining a department where the passion for learning languages is evident in its results. 100% of students have a language qualification at GCSE and about 84% of these are at 9-6.
To be successful, you must be a dynamic classroom practitioner with an innovative understanding of teaching and learning, high expectations of all students and a collaborative approach to developing the curriculum, as well as a willingness to participate in and organise trips.

Sydenham High School is a mainstream, independent, all-through girls' school with sixth form, situated in Lewisham, south-east London. The school caters for over 750 students aged 4-18.
Sydenham High School was founded in 1887 by the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), the leading group of independent girls’ schools in the UK. The Senior and Prep Schools have their own grounds located minutes apart and an 8 acre sportsground, used by all pupils, is a 20-minute drive from the school.
