Braeburn Mombasa International School is based in the coastal city of Mombasa, in Kenya. The school caters to pupils aged 2-18, and occupies a 23-acre site comprised of a number of modern, purpose-built facilities and buildings. These include two libraries, a dedicated sixth form area, science labs, IT labs, extensive playing fields supporting sports such as cricket, hockey and football, tennis/netball courts, and a biodiversity wetland area as well as two dedicated boarding houses.

The school is located on the North Coast of Mombasa island, about 15km north of the city. Our school is only a short drive from the Indian Ocean and its many beautiful beaches. Perfect if you like swimming in warm seas, snorkelling, sailing, kite-surfing, scuba diving and so on! Mombasa is a cosmopolitan city with a busy port and good connections to Nairobi; it’s within easy access to attractions such as Tsavo National Park for game drives and safaris, various marine reserves, indigenous forests, and the spice island of Zanzibar isn’t too far away either.

Braeburn Mombasa works hard to ensure that its pupils receive a strong range of experiences outside the classroom, including extensive creative arts opportunities and competitive sports. We run a Model United Nations, and make full use of our local environment for frequent field trips. In terms of curriculum, Braeburn follows the English National Curriculum, with pupils in the secondary school taking IGCSE examinations.
