Goundsperson- St Dympna's School Aspley

The successful applicant will:

• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;

• currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and

• be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

We are seeking an active person for this full time position. The successful candidate will manage and perform the school and parish maintenance as well as maintain the school and parish grounds. Knowing how to operate mowers and other small machinery is essential. The successful applicant must hold a Queensland driver's licence. This position involves working with school and parish personnel as well as tradespeople thus a good level of communication is essential. A sound knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety is required for this role.

Estimated Start Date:   Commencing in March 2019

Position Tenure:   Fixed Term

Weeks Worked:  Up to 52 weeks per year including school holidays

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   Twelve months with continuing status following a successful review.

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   38 hours from Monday to Friday

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   Service Staff Level 2 Step 1

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
