A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work as a Governance Administrative Assistant supporting our four governing bodies and the Board of Trustees to help deliver opportunities for our children and families.

 

Working as an integral part of North Star Community Trust’s central team, this role may occasionally include evening support for official meetings and governors training. As such, whist not essential, this role may best suit someone who resides in reasonable proximity to our schools and who is keen to work in the education sector.


North Star Community Trust is a Charitable Trust set up to run and manage three Primary and one Secondary Academy serving some 2600 children based in Edmonton. We are focused on driving up the quality of education provision and standards.


The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our governor and Trustee meetings. You will be working with sensitive information, so confidentiality is required in order to meet our data protection obligations. Being able and willing to work on your own initiative, proactive in completing tasks, adaptable are key skills for this role due to the demands of the role.


Also required are excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between a range of stakeholders such as governors, teaching and support staff and strong IT skills. Education sector experience is desirable however, a level of training and support is available.
