Are you looking for a flexible role that makes a significant difference to children’s education? This vital role ensures that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met by our trustees and governors across the three schools in our multi-academy trust. It also offers direct administrative support to the Chair of the Trust and the Executive Principal.

You will have proven administrative experience, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. Proficient in using the core Microsoft Office suite, you will also be confident in minute-taking and able to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. While prior knowledge of governance and its role within a school is beneficial, it is not essential if you are eager to learn. This is a flexible role with an average of 10-15 hours a week, depending on demand. The work will predominantly be undertaken during school term-time and within office hours. The Arbib Education Trust is a unique Multi-Academy Trust that serves the young people of Langley, Slough and further afield. It encompasses The Langley Academy (secondary), The Langley Academy Primary and The Langley Heritage Primary.

All three schools aim for the highest achievement for all and to provide a welcoming, imaginative and creative environment with enriches the lives of our children and our staff.

Our Vision

We aim to provide an exceptional education through collaboration, high expectations and learning which prompts curiosity, exploration and discovery. We want our work in “the Arbib way” to be characterised by a determination to discover ways of succeeding. We aim to work as a single community of schools sharing many ideas and investing in the future of every child and student in partnership with their families.

One community. Many ideas. Everyone’s future.

One community

The Arbib Education Trust has community at its very heart – creating a sense of belonging and serving local families.

Many ideas

We seek to create an environment which inspires deep curiosity, nurtures exploration of the subject and to discover many perspectives and opinions – creating an inclusive and inquisitive mindset in our students whilst building confidence, acceptance and courage.

In exactly the same way, we encourage all of our teachers to pioneer new ways of learning, challenge the norms and unlock creative ways to inspire future generations.  We ask three simple questions:

1. How do you encourage ‘curiosity’?

2. How can you engage our students to ‘explore’ their initial interest and develop it?

3. What will students have ‘discovered’ as a result of this learning?

Everyone’s future

We want every student passing through our doors to leave with confidence, aspiration and inspiration whilst feeling there is no ceiling to achievement.

We want our teachers and staff to feel a great sense of pride and achievement, making a difference to every child and feeling enriched by their own experience at The Trust.

The Trust’s generous sponsors and their network of business leaders allows us to offer our children and staff opportunities and experience, they would not get anywhere else.

As one of our staff members said “With the support we get from our sponsor we are able to shape a curriculum and our educational vision that is slightly different from the norm so that the children get the very best opportunities. We wouldn’t be the school we were if it wasn’t for the support of the Trust.”

What we can offer you….

The health and wellbeing of our staff is of utmost importance to us. We recognise that all of our colleagues have a life outside our school community. To support this, as part of our wider wellness programme we offer a wide range of benefits. Here are a few of the many things we offer:

Flexible working– a bespoke ‘Extra Flex’ scheme offers flexibility on when and where you work, as well as part time and job share options.

Trustee day – a term time day to attend events you wouldn’t ordinarily be able to attend. For example, one of our teachers who is fanatical about tennis went to Wimbledon and others have had the opportunity to celebrate their birthdays at Glastonbury, Henley Regatta and Alton Towers

Private Heathcare Scheme, cycle to work scheme, free use of The Langley Academy gym and hire of the sports hall at a discounted rate to help support a healthy lifestyle.

The benefits don’t end there though. Click here: www.arbibeducationtrust.org/100/benefits to see the full range of amazing benefits we offer.

Our Location

Our schools are located in Langley, Berkshire. Langley is a fabulous location, surrounded by beautiful countryside but with London less than 30 mins by train. Windsor is just four miles away, along with a host of other picturesque yet bustling towns along the beautiful River Thames like Marlow, Maidenhead and Bray.

The Langley Heritage Primary, The Langley Academy and The Langley Academy Primary are all accessible from junction 4 on the M4 which is a 15-minute drive (5 miles) and can also be easily reached by both train and bus. Langley is on both the London Paddington train network and the Elizabeth line, with the train station 0.9 miles away (a 13-minute walk). The closest bus stop to the school is Langley High Street (Bus number 7 from Slough).
