Marlborough College Malaysia is a co-educational boarding and day school that opened in August 2012. The school is situated in 90 acres of the Iskandar region of Malaysia close to Singapore and Johor Bahru.
In 2017-2018, there will be a total of around 380 pupils across the five year groups that make up the Senior School (Years 9-13).
The campus also provides for pupils aged from 4 years old (Reception) up with the roll next year at around 850. Boarding operates in six Houses accommodating boys and girls in Years 5-8 and Years 9-13. Following our Phase II development, which will be completed by August 2017, the College will grow to a maximum capacity of 1200 pupils.
The school is not a franchise but a genuine expansion of Marlborough College in the UK and is managed and governed by people who have a strong association with Marlborough.
We are seeking to appoint Graduate Assistants (Recent graduates, all subject areas) in the College to commence from August 2017.
The role will involve helping in the classroom, a full involvement in extracurricular activities and tutoring responsibilities in the boarding houses. These are one year contracts, initially, but maybe extended. This is an ideal first step for those considering a career in the teaching profession.
Interest or experience in the following could also be advantageous:
- IB Diploma / IGCSE in another subject
- Pastoral care of pupils, particularly in a boarding environment
- A co-curricular passion, be it sport, outdoor education, the arts or service
