Job overview

 Graduate Inclusion Support Assistant

Are interested in a career in Education, Teaching or Special Educational Needs?

Are you a recent school or college graduate with placement or voluntary experience working in School, Care, SEND, Social Work, Youth Work?

Are you looking for full time work from September? Are you willing to undergo training and mentoring?

Several of our settings are seeking graduate level candidates for Pastoral and Support Assistant roles.

This particular post is based in a school who are keen to ‘grow their own’ staff through support, training and development. Many of their staff continue into teaching or gain promotion as they develop their experience with the setting and the young people they are supporting.

The role involves working 35 hours per week on a term time basis to support education for students with additional or challenging needs aged from KS2-4.

You will support students in their educational activities within and beyond the classroom; helping to support them emotionally, behaviourally and academically.

An understanding of the range of issues affecting  these young people is vital in achieving success in this role. Aspirations for students are high and this school leads its field in terms of opportunities it creates for its young people.

There will be some requirement to carry out Outreach work and therefore a full UK Driving licence is preferable.

To be considered for this role please apply by submitting your CV.  We take our commitment to Safeguarding extremely seriously and want you to share in this in all aspects of your work. All candidates we consider will be subject to full referencing and background checks including an Enhanced DBS that is registered on the update service.

The pay for this role will be between £10 and £13 per hour
