Winchester College Music School offers excellent facilities for music-making, with a large rehearsal and concert hall, fifty teaching and practice rooms, a fully-equipped music technology classroom, recording studio, editing suite, percussion studio and rock room. New Hall provides an outstanding performance space, with seating for 400. The department has six full time staff and nearly sixty visiting music teachers who support a thriving and dynamic music School.
The school seeks to appoint a Graduate Musician in Residence (Junior Fellow), to provide piano accompaniment and coaching to pupils and ensembles, to manage the presentation of all school concerts, acting as Concert Manager, and to assist in the general work of the department.
The position will initially be for one year with the possibility of an extension. The exact role will be adapted to suit the abilities of the successful applicant, but a willingness to be involved in every aspect of the department is essential. The appointment will commence on 1 September 2019.
