Job overview
We are looking to appoint various graduate sport assistants, they would be required to either coach girls’ or boys’ sport at all levels from Year 4 to Upper Sixth. The applicant should be able to coach at a high level in one of Hockey, Netball, Tennis, Rugby, or Cricket and will be expected to make a contribution to wider games programme.
You will be involved in coaching sport at Wells on six days per week, including Saturdays, during term time. This will include a busy timetable within the Physical Education and Sports department working with specialist PE teachers and games coaches, along with duties supporting the wider needs of a boarding school environment.
It would be ideally suited to those with a passion for sport and young people who are looking to gain relevant experience before embarking on a formal teaching qualification. It may suit a newly qualified teacher looking to gain experience in a thriving independent boarding school. The school offers a competitive sports programme, very popular with our pupils in this unique co-educational day and boarding school in the heart of the West Country.
