Bury Grammar School are offering an exciting opportunity in which to gain practical work experience working in our busy Sports Department.
We seek a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable university graduate with a ‘can do’ attitude to assist with a range of duties and activities across the School including: assisting teachers in classes, games sessions, school trips and other duties in line with the postholder’s skills and experience, with a focus on Sports initiatives.
The successful candidate will need strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to liaise with a wide range of other staff across the school, given the diverse nature of the role. They will also need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and have a willingness to work flexibly with both duties and hours in order to meet the requirements of the School. In return, we are willing to assist you in gaining coaching qualifications during your time with us.
A willingness to immerse yourself in the sporting life of our school is essential. This includes our extensive extra-curricular programme which involves regular after-school and weekend fixtures.
All staff are expected to be prepared to work in either the Senior Boys, Senior Girls or Sixth Form as may be required from time to time.
