Job overview
The role is designed to provide sports graduates, who may be considering education as a career, practical experience of working in a day/boarding school. There are enormous pastoral opportunities giving a genuine insight into caring for the welfare of pupils.
In the Games Department, the role is to support manage and promote the provision and coaching of Games, Sports and PE as well as afternoon activities. To encourage all pupils to engage in these areas conducive to their health and wellbeing in order for pupils to fully participate in active school life.
Within the Boarding team, you will be an integral part of the staff team providing a safe, fun, and quality boarding experience in the afternoons and evenings.
Flexibility, initiative, good health and a sense of humour are essential requirements!
The post is offered on a 11 month fixed term, renewable up to a further 13 months, full-time basis (term time only). This role has single accommodation within the male area of the Boarding House.. Accommodation is available during term and holiday periods.
At Edge Grove we are looking for drive, imagination and the ability to motivate pupils in order to bring out the best in them. The person appointed will work well in a team and show initiative when working with colleagues and pupils.
