Welcome to our School's profile. Danecourt School forms part of the Maritime Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust that is committed to making sure that education is meaningful.

Our Trust is made up of 11 primary schools located in Greenwich, Bexley and Kent. Though our schools may be different with their own in-school culture and community spirit, they all work harmoniously and collaboratively together within a curriculum that ensures each and every child is being equipped with leadership and life skills. At Maritime, we do this by empowering schools to drive more meaningful and enjoyable outcomes for children by having great people working for us, who commit to working hard to make an impact whatever the school and whatever the role.

We are a special school catering for primary aged children who have special educational needs. The children who attend Danecourt have a wide breadth of needs including complex learning difficulties and autism.

At Danecourt our mission is support all pupils to become “STARS” -

S - Self reliant

T - Team Players

A - Aspirational

R - Resilient

S - Successful

This is facilitated through pupils receiving  a personalised curriculum that is tailored to meet their individual specific needs.

The highly trained staff team maintain high expectations of what each individual pupil is able to achieve, striving to ensure that they all reach their maximum potential; celebrating difference and encouraging curiosity and creativity. Staff work collaboratively with families/carers and a range of other agencies in order to meet the pupils' needs and as a result, pupils make strong progress academically, emotionally and socially. Pupil achievement is hugely valued and celebrated in a manner that is meaningful and appropriate for each pupil.

If you are interested in becoming a part of the Danecourt community and working with us, telephone the school and make an appointment to come and meet some of the pupils and staff and to experience for yourself the quality of education given to all of our children and the unique atmosphere throughout our school.
