If you are a strong graduate who wants to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while working full time in a primary school, the STEP Graduate Teacher Programme is for you!
We offer a fully funded PGCE which is delivered through the Trust’s teaching school in partnership with the University of Buckingham. You will gain this qualification over the course of one academic year whilst working full time as an unqualified teacher in one of our academies, either in South London or East Sussex.
In addition to your training with the University of Buckingham, you will also engage in continuing professional development in your academy along with your colleagues. You will have 20% non-contact time each week, covering both your PPA and additional release time, and you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers as you train. Graduate teachers may also apply to complete their NQT year within STEP Academy Trust.
We have a limited number of spaces on our Graduate Teacher Programme, so we advise that you apply soon to express your interest.
To apply, initially send a CV with full academic history along with a statement of why you want to work with STEP Academy Trust to Tom Garry, Deputy Head of Teaching & Learning: firstname.lastname@example.org
