Academically gifted and enthusiastic graduate looking to gain further experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in a Primary School?
Do you have previous experience of supporting young people with learning needs? And able to think outside the box.
Do you need to gain primary Teaching Assistant experience in order to support your PGCE, or have a degree in Psychology looking to gain invaluable, post qualification experience?
This Graduate TA appointment will involve working in a small team, supporting a child 1-1 with additional learning needs. You will be responsible for promoting inclusion; working according to pupils needs ensuring they make positive progress. The successful candidate should:
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be passionate about improving access to the curriculum with additional needs.
- Have a proven track record of working with children
- Be highly flexible and adaptable in order to meet the differing needs of the pupils
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills- GCSE in both ( Grade C or above)
- Have an extremely patient attitude ensuring a positive role model for children
- Be willing to work in Early Year & KS1
Person Specification
For this Graduate Teaching Assistant post it is essential that all applicants are graduates with 2:1s or better at degree level. The ideal candidates will be highly personable team players. Will need to be a creative thinker and is interested in children who learn differently, with the drive and perseverance to out do all expectations.
The Teaching Assistant post is for two terms until 31st July, 2018, and is geared towards anyone who is interested in Educational psychology or Social Work.
