What we can offer you
We offer a range of professional development opportunities that would help aspiring Graduate Teaching Assistants to develop their teaching careers.
Below are two quotes from colleagues who joined the school in this role:
"As a Graduate Teaching assistant at Marylebone Boys’ School, I have had the chance to work with a wide range of boys from different year groups and with varying abilities. I have had extensive professional development, including an opportunity to take an NVQ in Speech and language therapy and facilitating a scheme aimed at widening University access. I have gained first-hand experience of the day to day life of a growing new school and have been lucky to be able to work with a committed, dedicated and friendly staff body."
"Being a TA at Marylebone Boys’ School has given me the necessary practical and theoretical experience needed to join the teaching profession. I have been able to teach some lessons and develop a strong, respectful pedagogic relationship with my students. As well as this, the staff team have supported me with my application for my PGCE and as a result of their encouragement and advice, I feel equipped and excited to begin my teacher training in September."
In September 2018 we will move to our permanent site, a brand new school located in the heart of the prestigious Paddington Basin area. We will be part of a wider development by Westminster City Council, just a stone’s throw from Paddington Station with all the benefits of Crossrail as well as the existing Underground and National Rail connections.
