About the role

We are seeking a Grounds Person with a genuine passion for their work to be part of a small team, that deliver a range of services for the upkeep and maintenance of our school grounds. 

Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Minor landscaping work
  • Maintaining clean and tidy school grounds including rubbish collection
  • Routine trade and non-trade maintenance and repairs
  • Support school security systems
  • Assist with setting up significant school events
  • Compliance with workplace health and safety requirements


Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a school environment is highly desirable. 
The ability to display strong customer service skills is essential.  
You will also have a good work ethic and seek to achieve quality work whilst maintaining the highest level of safety.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.


Estimated start date: 
9 January 2023 or as soon as possible

Position tenure:  Fixed Term

Duration:  9 January to 31 March 2023

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required: 5 days/week (38 hours/week) Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm

Salary level, range or hourly rate: Services Staff Level 1 - $28.06 per hour
