We are seeking to appoint a full time Groundsperson to join the team maintaining the grounds at the King Edward VI School Wellington Sports Ground. The site is thirty three acres of grounds with tennis courts, netball courts and a full sized water based Astro pitch. The pavilion has eighteen changing rooms, a kitchen and hospitality facilities for over one hundred people.
Dedicated and hardworking, you will join our busy Sports Ground team, providing high quality maintenance and repair work to the grounds, as well as supporting match day preparation for a range of sports fixtures. Working within a small team and responsible to the Head Groundsperson, you will need to be able to work well with others and on your own.
You will ideally be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and practical ability in working across a range of sports surfaces, grounds maintenance tasks and using machinery although full training will be provided. Ideally, you will hold a D1 or PSV driving licence. If not, you should be prepared to attend training, provided by the School, to obtain this level of licence.
Due to the rural location of Wellington your own transport is essential.

Salary: £20,000 per annum (£10.12 per hour)
