St Joseph’s Primary School is a mixed, mainstream, independent Roman Catholic primary school in Gloucester, New South Wales. There are approximately 38 students enrolled and caters to pupils in kindergarten to Year 6. 

St Joseph’s Primary School was founded in 1919 when the Sisters of St Joseph arrived in town. It’s registered by the Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards NSW as a member of the Catholic system in the Diocese of Maitland – Newcastle.

Class sizes are kept small so every child can have one-on-one attention and they also have access to learning support officers to enhance their education. Classrooms are equipped with the latest technologies including iPads, laptops, smart boards and video conferencing facilities. 

Curriculum

The curriculum is inclusive of students of all abilities and talents, using the latest technologies and contemporary resources to supplement school lessons. The school works hard to provide a stimulating, exciting and engaging environment to motivate its students. It also has a wide variety of sporting opportunities including swimming, golf, tennis and hockey. The school emphasises the importance of the performing arts, offering art, drama and music.
