St Peter's Catholic Primary School, Caboolture, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Groundsperson to join our team. This is a Level 3, full-time continuing position, for 38 hours per week, commencing April 2019. In this position, we are a seeking a Groundsperson with a genuine passion for their work to deliver a range of services, for the upkeep, maintenance and development our school grounds. You will have a strong work ethic and seek to achieve quality work while maintaining the highest level of safety.? You will have previous experience in a land management or grounds keeping role, ideally in a school environment and strong customer service skills. Duties include: Minor landscaping work, including; drains, paths, garden wall edges Maintain clean and tidy school grounds Routine trade and non-trade maintenance and repairs, oversee requests and provide updates through the maintenance register Provide feedback into planning, preparing and developing school grounds Liaise with and provide a contact point for contractors engaged on site Inventory management for grounds supplies and materials Support school security systems Liaise with various internal and external personnel on issues of lost property and damage to facilities Assist with setting up significant school events Comply with workplace health and safety requirements Skills and Experience Previous demonstrated experience in a similar role or a role requiring a similar skill set Strong customer services skills Hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card Vehicle and valid Open Class Drivers Licence Working at Heights Certificate Agricultural Chemicals Commercial Operators Licence or similar Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work programs Possession of an AQF Certificate III qualification or equivalent in a field relevant to the role, or lesser qualification with demonstrated experience is desirable.
