Amsterdam International Community School offers what is t hopes is an accessible and high quality international community based learning programme for pupils of all nationalities. Learning, the school says, is at the heart of everything it does. The school shares the outlook of the Esprit group of schools, as set out tin its manifesto. This includes the aim of providing inspiration to the learning environment, and nurturing the personal qualities and development of each pupil and staff member. There is a belief within the school that the best possible academic results stem from individual students fully recognising their own abilities and talents, and the school aims to actively encourage its students to make full use of these talents to achieve their goals.

AICS aims to create a diverse, accessible learning environment where students learn not only the curriculum subjects but also learn much about themselves and the community and world outside of the school.
