Guidance Counsellor

Full time | 38 hours per week

Fixed term | 5 year contract | From 22 July 2019

The Guidance Counsellor will work collaboratively with school communities to provide a counselling service that facilitates learning outcomes for students, and enables quality teaching. 

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Guidance Counselling coupled with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. They will possess effective relationship building and influencing skills; advanced interpersonal and communication skills; proven and effective leadership skills; and will be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic faith.

While based at St Anthony's School, Toowoomba, they will provide a counselling service to the following Prep to Year 6 primary schools in the Toowoomba Diocese.

• St Anthony's School, Toowoomba (0.3 FTE)
• St Francis de Sales School, Clifton (0.1 FTE)
• St Maria Goretti School, Inglewood (0.1 FTE)
• St Joseph's School, Millmerran (0.1 FTE)
• St Stephen's School, Pittsworth (0.2 FTE)

This role will include travel (0.2 FTE). Further details can be obtained from the Role Description.
